This post is to inform you that we will be making repairs on the electrical on August 31 2021. The power will need to be shutoff during these repairs between 8am and 4pm. The outage will affect the entire village. We will update this if there are any changes.

Investigation Into Safety and Reliability – We want to hear from you!
The British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) is conducting a hearing to fully assess the safety and reliability of Hemlock Utility Services Ltd.’s (Hemlock) electrical distribution system and system assets, as well as its customer service-related issues.

Replacement of transformer occurred as schedule with power restored at 4:00 pm. Complications occurred after service was restored leading to an extended outage. Crews are currently working on replacing blown elbows along Snowmist and Sakwi. Power is expected to be restored by 7:30 pm.

The power outage will affect the entire mountain … village, condos, and the Resort. The power outage is to replace a transformer.

There will be a planned Power Outage for Wednesday June 23rd 2021. The outage will take place between 9am and 2pm. This outage will affect the majority of the village except for Snowmist Drive and Snowmist Place.
Please be advised that Hemlock Utilities is responding to a power outage affecting the mountain and residents. Crews have identified the approximate location and cause of the outage, and power will be restored by approximately 9:00 pm.
Please be advised there will be an unplanned power outage today (November 16, 2020) Due to damaged lines in the village. This will be from 11:30am until approximately 1pm.
BC Hydro would like to advise residents of a planned outage taking place Tuesday September 15, 2020 from 10am-4pm. They are replacing a power pole on their line.
