Update: 7:15pm -Water restored to all of Village.

 

Update: 3:42 pm – Subdivision 4 (Edelweiss below Larkspur) has been isolated. Last 4 homes on Sakwi above Mt. Downing are also affected. We are attempting to restore water to the rest of Village. The water system is just building up pressure but it does appear to be successful.

 

Please be aware that we are experiencing a emergency water outage due to a water main being struck. The whole village will be out of water until we can isolate the subdivisions. Right now there is no timeline on how long this will take. We will update the website as we know more.

 

So sorry about the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Planned Power Outage – August 31 2021

Update: We will need to extend the power outage until 5:30pm August 31 2021.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

 

This post is to inform you that we will be making repairs on the electrical on August 31 2021. The power will need to be shutoff during these repairs between  8am and 4pm. The outage will affect the entire village. We will update this if there are any changes.

UPDATE: Planned Power Outage – August 17 2021

UPDATE – 5:15pm

Replacement of transformer occurred as schedule with power restored at 4:00 pm. Complications occurred after service was restored leading to an extended outage. Crews are currently working on replacing blown elbows along Snowmist and Sakwi. Power is expected to be restored by 7:30 pm.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

AUGUST 10, 2021

Please be aware there will be a power outage on August 17 2021.

Time: 8:00am to 4:00pm

The power outage will affect the entire mountain … village, condos, and the Resort. The power outage is to replace a transformer.

Emergency Water Interruption – July 28 2021 – Update

Update: 5:00pm

We are happy to inform you that the emergency repairs to the water lines have been completed earlier than we expected and that all services have been restored.

We would like to send a shout out to the Hemlock Valley Utilities Team for completing this repair in a tight time frame.

UPDATE:

Due to the extensive ground work needed to find and fix the water line we will have to extend the repair time until 8:00pm.

We apologize for the delay in turning the water back on and thank you for your patience during this repair.

Water Interuption – July 19 & 21 2021

1. When: Monday, July 19th
Time: 8am to 11am
Reason for interruption: to assess repairs required to water line
Location: Eastside of Snowflake Crescent + Sakwi Creek Road from the intersection of Skyline Drive and up.
PLEASE NOTE – Monday’s outage is a temporary outage affecting properties with high pressure mains.

2. When: Wednesday, July 21st
Time: All day starting at 8am
Reason for interruption: to conduct repairs to water line
Location: Eastside of Snowflake Crescent + Sakwi Creek Road from the intersection of Skyline Drive and up.
PLEASE NOTE – The outage planned for Wednesday is scheduled to last all day and will affect properties with high pressure mains.
Wednesday’s outage may extend beyond regular business hours based on findings from Monday’s assessment, please prepare accordingly.
Updates to expected length of outage will be posted to our website Monday by 12pm, once assessment is complete.

UPDATED: Power Outage – July 1, 2021

11:15 am: Power has been fully restored.

9:45 am: Power has been restored to all areas of the mountain with the exception of the Condos on Enzian Way. Crews continue to work on-site to fully restore services by 11:45 am.

Please be advised that a full power shutdown may be required in order to resort power to the affected area.

8:45 am: Cause and location of the power outage have been confirmed. Crews are currently on-site at the Condos on Enzian Way, power is expected to be restored by 11:45am.

7:30 am: Hemlock Valley Utilities is responding to reports of a power outage. Additional crews have been dispatched to assist with the assessment.  More information will be provided and the expected time of restoration to power will be confirmed once crews have completed their assessment of affected areas.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and will continue to provide updates as crews work on restoring services.

 

 

Power Outage June 29 2021 – Update

The issue has been fixed and power has been restored.

Crews have located the problem and are working on the repairs. Power should hopefully be back on in about 3 hours which should be around 12:00pm June 29 2021. We will update the website if it will take longer.

Hemlock Valley Utilities is responding to a power outage affecting some areas of the mountain. Crews and electricians are onsite assisting with the assessment. We will update the website when we have a more information on what the problem and when we expect the problem to be fixed.

UPDATE: Power Outage – June 27, 2021

Update – 8:30pm – Power has been fully restored.

Update – 6:00pm – Power has been restored to the community effect 4:15pm, however Hemlock Valley Utilities continues to respond to a disruption in power causing intermittent service affecting Edelweiss Drive.

Please be advised that a full power shutdown may be required in order to resort power to the affected areas.

Update – 11:55 am – Hemlock Valley Utilities is responding to a power outage affecting some areas of the mountain. Additional crews and electricians are onsite assisting with assessment. The power outage is currently affecting our main lodge which is operating on generators, as well as a limited number of homes along Edelweiss Drive. Restoration to power will be confirmed once crews have completed their assessment.

Please be advised that a full power shutdown may be required in order to resort power to the affected areas.

8:30 am – Hemlock Valley Utilities is responding to a power outage affecting properties on Edelweiss Drive. Additional crews have been dispatched to assist with assessment and are expected to be on scene by 9:00 am. The power outage is currently affecting a limited number of homes along Edelweiss. Restoration to power TBC once crews have completed their assessment.

 

Water Outage – Planned – June 23 2021

There will be a planned Water Outage for Sakwi Creek Road, above Larkspur and below Snowflake Crescent and a partial water outage for Snowflake Crescent. Snowflake Crescent homes with water pressure below 60psi will experience the outage. The water outage will start at 8am and end at 4pm June 23 2021. The majority of the village will not experience a loss of water.
