Unplanned Power Outage

Power will be turned back on very soon.

11:40am we’ll be shutting down power.

Update 9:50am

There will be a delay in shutting down the power. Once we have located what needs to be fixed we will give you a 1/2 hr heads up before the shut down.

 

There will be an unplanned emergency power outage to repair a transformer starting at 9am and will last approximately 6hrs on February 11 2022.

Water Interruption – Update 2:15pm

Update: 2:15 pm January 15, 2022

We are happy to inform you that the water issue has been repaired. A hydro vac truck has been dispatched and is enroute to help rebuild the pressure so that all homes can regain full use of their water services as soon as possible.

We would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding during this unforeseeable issue along with our utility team who have been working around the clock to mitigate the situation and implement solutions to alleviate this from happening in the future.

Update 8:50am January 14, 2022

There is a possible break in the high pressure main. We are doing what we can but there is going to be low or no water. The areas that will be affect most are at the top of Sakwi, Edelweiss and Snowflake till further notice or at least until after the weekend. This is dependent on the availability of parts and issues found.

Update 4:30pm January 13, 2022

Please note the water pressure could take up to 4 hours to be back to normal. The more you refrain from checking the water pressure the sooner it will be back to normal.

The water has been repaired and we are re-pressurizing the line.

Update 11:30am January 13 2022

We are in the midst of an emergency water Main repair. Upper Edelweiss and some of upper Sakwi will be experiencing loss of pressure. There is a good possibility the mountains water will need to be completely shut down by noon today to address this issue.

Water Outage

So tomorrow upper Edelweiss will have a water shutdown. We will be reassessing in the am . Until then Edelweiss will be closed to all none essential traffic effective immediately. This is due to a large ice build up and possibility of aggravating the situation into a rupture.

We will keep everyone updated when we know more.

Power Outage – November 15/16 2021 – Update

Power was restored around 6:00pm November 16 2021

 

We just wanted to let everyone know that BC Hydro is on site working on restoring power but there is still no estimated time that they will have this completed. Boil Water Advisory – November 15 2021 – Update

We would like to let you know that the boil water advisory will be in effect for at least the next week. We will be updating this again by November 24 2021 unless we hear back sooner.

Due to the heavy rains we are advising you at this time to boil your water before use.

We recommend boiling water for a minimum of one minute when used for:
• Drinking
• Cooking
• Brushing teeth
• Washing dishes
• Washing fruits and vegetables to be eaten raw
