Boil Water Advisory Lifted – Hemlock Valley Water System

Hemlock Valley Water System

Date Issued: February 23th, 2026

The Boil Water Advisory issued on February 14th, 2026 for the Hemlock Valley Water System has been lifted effective immediately.

Multiple consecutive sets of drinking water samples have confirmed that the water quality meets all regulatory microbiological standards and is free of harmful bacteria, including Total Coliform and E. coli.

The cause of the distribution pumps alarm has been determined, and the system has been adjusted accordingly to prevent an issue like this from happening again.

Residents can now resume normal water usage, including drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth with tap water without the need for boiling.

Hemlock Utility Services and Fraser Health Authority worked in close consultation to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and we appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during the advisory period.
