Community Water Update: Stage 2 Water Restrictions Now in Effect

Stage 2 Water Restrictions will be in effect in Hemlock Valley from Sep 25 to October 31, 2026.

Although cooler fall weather typically reduces outdoor water demand, Stage 2 restrictions remain in effect to protect the water supply and ensure sufficient water is available for essential uses such as drinking, cooking, and cleaning.

• Watering lawns at any time (by hand or sprinkler)
• Filling or topping up decorative water features
• Washing outdoor impermeable surfaces (e.g., sidewalks, driveways, buildings) for aesthetic purposes, unless required for health and safety reasons

• Watering trees, shrubs, and flowers (not lawns) using sprinklers between 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM on any day
• Watering trees, shrubs, and flowers (not lawns) by hand using an automatic shut-off nozzle, soaker hose, or drip irrigation system at any time
• Topping up or filling pools and hot tubs
