As residents currently on the mountain will know, power was restored by BC Hydro to the mountain yesterday (Tuesday) at 5:11 pm.
The outage, which occurred on Monday at 2:57 pm, was due a wind storm felling multiple trees onto power lines along Morris Valley Rd. Both the wifi and cell service were also down during this time.
As well, we experienced impassable road blockages down the mountain from roughly 3 pm to 7 pm on Monday evening. On Tuesday, there remained many portions of road only passable by one lane. Today, the road has been cleaned up and cleared of fallen trees / debris.
We are grateful for the hard work of the BC Hydro crew members working all hours to resolve the issue, as there were multiple downed power lines in the Fraser Valley due to the storm.
