HEMLOCK VALLEY WATER RESTRICTIONS – MAY 20, 2024

WATER RESTRICTION IN EFFECT FOR HEMLOCK VALLEY EFFECTIVE MAY 20, 2024

Water use restrictions are now in effect for all users of the Hemlock Valley water system due to our very limited water supply. To avoid potential shortages, the following activities are prohibited until further notice:

  • Lawn watering or irrigation
  • Dust control efforts for roads and driveways
  • Filling of swimming pools
  • Washing vehicles or building exteriors with a pressure washer or hose

Here are several effective ways to conserve water:

  • Only change hot tub water when necessary and consider short showers with water-saving heads
  • Turn off the tap while brushing teeth or shaving
  • Use a timer to prevent taps from running unintentionally
  • Water plants only when needed, preferably early in the morning or later in the evening to reduce evaporation
  • Regularly check for and repair any leaks on your property

Non-compliance with these restrictions may result in a $50 fine per violation.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
