Stage 4 Water Restrictions Notice

Stage 4 Water Restrictions will be in effect in Hemlock Valley from August 7 to October 15, 2026.

Due to critically low water levels at the community’s water supply and continued hot, dry weather, these restrictions are being implemented to conserve water and ensure an adequate supply for essential uses such as drinking, cooking, and sanitation.

Hemlock Utility Services Ltd. appreciates the cooperation of all residents and visitors in reducing water consumption during this period. Conserving water now will help protect the community’s water supply while current dry conditions persist.

Not Allowed

  • Watering lawns at any time (by hand or sprinkler)
  • Watering trees, shrubs, and flowers by hand using an automatic shut-off nozzle, soaker hose, or drip irrigation system at any time
  • Topping up or filling hot tubs or pools
  • Washing vehicles and boats
  • Filling or topping up decorative water features
  • Washing outdoor impermeable surfaces (e.g., sidewalks, driveways, buildings) for aesthetic purposes, unless ordered by a regulatory authority for health and safety reasons.

Hemlock Utility Services Ltd. will continue to closely monitor water supply conditions. Additional restrictions or emergency conservation measures may be implemented at any time if necessary to protect the community’s drinking water supply.

If you are a property owner with tenants, please ensure this notice is shared with them.

Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in enforcement action and fines in accordance with the Water Tariff.
