Stage 1 Water Restrictions Notice
Stage 1 Water Restrictions will be in effect in Hemlock Valley from Oct 2 to October 31, 2026.
With cooler fall temperatures and recent rainfall helping to reduce outdoor watering needs, Stage 1 water restrictions remain in effect to encourage responsible water use and protect our regional drinking water supply.
Allowed
- Watering Lawns – One morning per week: Automatic watering from 5am to 7 a.m. Manual watering from 6am-9 a.m.
- Trees, shrubs, and flowers (excluding edible plants) may be watered using sprinklers on any day between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. For greater flexibility, watering with a hand-held hose equipped with an automatic shut-off nozzle, a soaker hose, drip irrigation system, or watering container is permitted at any time on any day.
- Washing of impermeable surfaces, topping up or filling of aesthetic water features, pools, and hot tubs.
- Washing vehicles, boats and commercial vehicles.
Hemlock Utility Services Ltd. will continue to monitor conditions and may modify or rescind restrictions as necessary.

Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in fines.
