This is to simply inform the community that the investigation into the previous power outage last Saturday that lasted from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm found that it was due a motor vehicle accident involving damage to a power pole on Morris Valley Rd on the BC Hydro side of the infrastructure. The accident happened around 1 pm, but power had to be cut off in order to safely finish the repair.
As such, there are no preventative or remedial actions to be taken by HVU at this time. Thank you.
