As of approximately 7:30 pm yesterday, crews on the ground returned power. This outage was due to old high-voltage elbow giving out within a high voltage vault and was unrelated to the fix happening on the Subdivision 4 water distribution line leak. To resolve the problem, the affected part was replaced.
In lieu of of this discovery, we will be planning a major inspection for all other transformers within our infrastructure to prevent similar happenings in the future.
On a separate note, we may have to induce a controlled power outage today to safely continue work on the Subdivision 4 water distribution line leak. A high-voltage vault is in close proximity to the leak, resulting in the fix taking more time than originally estimated.
If a temporary controlled power outage is found to be necessary, we will send out further updates to the community before it is put into place.
Thank you.
