Partial Hydrant Flush Notice

This notification is to inform you that partial hydrant flushing will be taking place tomorrow (Feb 11, Wednesday), between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm.

This means that we will only be flushing hydrants in key positions on the water distribution line and it will not be a full system-wide flush.

Flushing helps to improve water quality and increases the life of system components such as pressure reducing valves and line valves. Flushing also helps to identify weak or problem areas in the system, which can help avoid costly repairs.

During and immediately after flushing in your neighborhood, you may experience a temporary period of low water pressure and/or poor aesthetic quality i.e. silt, colouration, etc. While this water is not harmful to your health, it is an unpleasant in regards to water taste / use. Some homes may not encounter any of these effects, as not every hydrant will be flushed in this partial flushing.

Thank you very much for bearing with us through this procedure as we strive to improve our infrastructure and systems.
