Boil Water Advisory Update – Hemlock Valley

Boil Water Advisory Update – Hemlock Valley

April 6th, 2026

Hemlock Utility Services continues to actively manage the current boil water advisory.

Additional measures have been implemented, including increased free chlorine residual monitoring throughout the distribution system and increased bacteriological sampling within the community.

Free chlorine residual levels have been increased since the pressure loss on March 14th and are consistently maintained within the system. Recent bacteriological sampling results have all returned negative, which is a positive indication.

We are working closely to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and will only lift the advisory once it is confirmed that it is safe to do so. We will be meeting with our Environmental Health Officer from Fraser Health Authority this week to discuss the advisory and next steps.

We understand the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation.

Further updates will be provided as they become available. At this time, the Boil Water Advisory remains in place.
