Reliability of Hemlock Utility Services Ltd.

Power Outage – Scheduled Maintenance – July 19 and 26, 2022

Hemlock Valley Utilities wishes to notify all property owners and residents of 2 planned power outages to conduct maintenance within the electricity infrastructure. The interruptions in service are scheduled for July 19th and 26th between the hours of 8am to 5pm. All properties on-mountain and around the resort will be affected by the interruption in service.

During this time, the Utilities team will be working with Platinum Electric on vault cleaning, repairs, and elbow replacement.

Power Outage Notification – July 3, 2022

Hemlock Valley Utilities has been notified of a power outage affecting the entire village. The outage originates along Hwy 7 near Harrison Mills. BC Hydro is onsite and working to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

WATER ADVISORY – Sakwi Creek Road

Please be advised that the Hemlock Valley Utilities Team responded to Sakwi Creek Road for an emergency repair to a water main break. The repair required a brief interruption to service however water has since been restored. Residents living on Sakwi may notice a slight discoloration in their water, if so you should run your taps for up to 15 minutes until water begins to run clear again.

Again, the interruption in service affects properties on Sakwi Creek Road only.

PLANNED POWER OUTAGE NOTIFICATION

 

Please be advised, HVU has scheduled a planned power outage for October 4, 2021.

Time: 8:00am to 4:30pm

The power outage will affect the entire mountain including village, condos, and Sasquatch Mountain Resort. The planned interruption in service is part of ongoing improvements and upgrades to HVU infrastructure.

Water Interuption – July 19 & 21 2021

1. When: Monday, July 19th
Time: 8am to 11am
Reason for interruption: to assess repairs required to water line
Location: Eastside of Snowflake Crescent + Sakwi Creek Road from the intersection of Skyline Drive and up.
PLEASE NOTE – Monday’s outage is a temporary outage affecting properties with high pressure mains.

2. When: Wednesday, July 21st
Time: All day starting at 8am
Reason for interruption: to conduct repairs to water line
Location: Eastside of Snowflake Crescent + Sakwi Creek Road from the intersection of Skyline Drive and up.
PLEASE NOTE – The outage planned for Wednesday is scheduled to last all day and will affect properties with high pressure mains.
Wednesday’s outage may extend beyond regular business hours based on findings from Monday’s assessment, please prepare accordingly.
Updates to expected length of outage will be posted to our website Monday by 12pm, once assessment is complete.
